How to theme assignments for pupils
Goal of competing artwork should be … (art competition manifesto)
Introduction of rarity of certain region – tradition, culture, art, location, technology, people, lifestyle
“IT” enriches the whole region and by “IT” also Europe as a whole. It also enriches the lives of young generation, It is important for the young generation. It is basically informal invitation for non-European and European visitors that are being invited into region by students through their artwork. They will introduce themselves as well as the region within the mosaic, which we are, thanks to the artworks and art competition, introducing. Thanks to uniqueness and beauty of each respective region, Europe also is and will be unique in 2050.
- Pointing out some fact in their region that is not exactly to artist´s or creator´s liking. Fact that is speck on the beauty of the region. Some negative aspect and how to turn it into positive. Something that is not being dealt with long term and that is priority for young generation. Within the scope of their artwork offer solution that they deem to be right and appropriate for their future, future of the region in which they are living and in the long run maybe for the future of whole Europe. This solution should be executed with their active involvement in a process of necessary change in their region and in Europe.
Creative assignment is looking for answers to these questions.
- how is young generation perceiving role and significance of their region in which they live and study ? How familiar are they with it (the region) ?
- how, based on their perception does variety and difference of respective European regions enriches Europe and European Union ? (from many points of view i.e. cultural, social, geopolitical)
- how does young generation see their region and Europe in 2050 when it (the young generation) will be adult ?
- how should their region develop to become beautiful and extraordinary place in Europe in 2050?
- what kind of cultural or historical heritage from their region would young generation like to preserve or even develop more and how would they do it ?
- how, despite all the differences in each region further develop and cultivate society, develop and strengthen the foundation of European values – mutual tolerance, respect and understanding ? How does young generation see their current and future role in this process.
Project is supposed to introduce, in a comprehensive artistic – educational form, not only artistic, presentation and communication skills of competitors, but also dreams and visions of today´s young generation, that seeks answers to questions regarding their future in the year 2050 when it is going to be exactly this generation, that will be in charge of Europe at that times. Within this project, there are interconnected regional and European topics.
On top of that, project also allows today´s young generation not only to point out problems that it (the young generation) would like to solve but also possibilities on how it (the young generation) can enter into these processes with it´s activities and executions and that by either their own efforts or within the confines of cooperation with local, national or European administration. We have prepared informational videos that could answer many questions about the artistic competition, technical specifications for competing artworks and about the topic we are committing to this year. In case of further questions you can direct your emails to reg@e2050.eu and we will be glad to answer.
